Caroline Williams | Chairperson
Caroline is an experienced director of high-growth companies, with extensive experience in the telecommunications, financial and professional services industries. She has held senior roles at Telecom (now Spark), Crown Infrastructure Partners, and Deloitte and brings extensive experience negotiating high value business acquisitions, joint ventures, and technology deals in New Zealand and globally. She is currently the chair of Easy Crypto and a director of a major event host organisation funded by MBIE and Auckland Unlimited.
Brent Robinson | Independent Director
Brent Robinson is a well-known New Zealand technology leader and innovator. As Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Rakon for over 35 years, he grew Rakon into a global leader in the frequency control product industry with annual sales of over NZ$128 million in 2021. Brent brings considerable experience in validating and growing export markets, product development, and market leadership across highly-technical market segments. He also understands the challenges and unique advantages of building a technology export business and global organisation headquartered in New Zealand.
Paul Muckleston | Director
Paul Muckleston is a successful technology leader with hands-on experience scaling global technology businesses. He has held leadership roles in Europe, Asia and the United States and brings experience in channel strategy, go-to-market models and global operations and people leadership, governance, and organization transformation. He is currently a Managing Director at the SellSide Group, a Venture Partner at Pacific Channel, as well as an investor, advisor and board member in various technology companies in New Zealand and the USA.
Ngaio Merrick | Director
Ngaio brings a wealth of governance experience and a strong background in science, with a long-held passion for deep tech startups. She is well known in New Zealand’s tech scene, using her experience to bridge the gap between the science and business communities and knowing how to spot new technologies that have the potential to make a global impact. She is Managing Partner and founder of Nuance Connected Capital, a trustee of the of the David Levene Foundation, chair of the Bright Future Trust, and has judged a number of New Zealand’s leading business awards.
Iannick Monfils | Executive Director
Iannick has over 23 years of experience in the Photonics and Telecommunications industry and has been responsible for developing and bringing to market over 50 product families. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from McMaster University, Ontario, and a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University, Ontario. He is CEO and co-founder of Quantifi Photonics.
